Raymond Macareno is a native of Tulare County, born in Exeter and raised in Farmersville, California. He attended the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) in 1997-1998 and graduated from Exeter Union High School in 1999. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2003, and a master’s degree in business administration from Fresno State University in 2014.
His work experience has ranged from working in the agricultural fields of Central California to sale and marketing in the pharmaceutical industry in Southern California. Macareno has served in leadership roles in both large and small non-profit organizations and foundations in Tulare and Fresno Counties. Additionally, he previously assisted small businesses as the former executive director of the Tulare Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Macareno has also served as a business consultant and instructor for the Fresno State Foundation and the Small Business Development Center. He is the owner and publisher of Nuestro Tiempo Magazine – a publication focused on education and community events in Tulare and Kings Counties. Presently, he works in marketing within his local healthcare district.
Additionally, Macareno was elected in 2018 to the local community college district board of trustees. Macareno is committed to serving as a role model to youth and his goal is to influence the quality of life for those underrepresented in our community through health and educational opportunities, community events, and scholarship programs for high school students.
